Wedding Planning, Part III

I realize I'm a little overdue for an update, so here goes... :)

Another Vendor Secured...

After what seemed like forever, I found a videographer for our wedding!  This vendor seemed to be the most difficult to decide on for some reason because, well, apparently taking a wedding video is very expensive (in my mind)!  Or maybe I've simply experienced so much sticker shock that I just couldn't think through all the dollar signs I had swirling around in my head.  Anyway, it's done, and much of the credit goes to my awesome cousin Emily who helped with the negotiations ;)  She rocks, and I've dubbed her "The Negotiator," hoping to reserve her for future use.

Shopping Fun...

The last weekend in June was a fun shopping weekend!  My MOH (Maid of Honor) and I went shoe shopping! Woo-hoo!  Heather is literally the Shoe Queen, and it's always a good time when we go shoe shopping.  Our first stop was Nordstrom in Fashion Valley, where the largest Nordy's shoe department "lives."  We tried on a pair of shoes that Marcia had pinned on Pinterest as a possible bridesmaid shoe.  And we went with it! (CHECK!) I also bought my shoes that day. (CHECK! We packed the "Easy Button" for this shopping trip!)  Then we went to Macy's to see what they had in the lingerie department, and wouldn't you know it, they were having a sale!  I found some nice little pieces for the honeymoon ;)  I also scored a really pretty dress for the rehearsal dinner, although I have to admit, it's so cute I may not be able to wait until the Fall to wear it!  Sorry no pictures of the purchased merchandise because the groom subscribes to this blog...and he'll have to wait to see all the goodies...and so will you!

Our next stop was the bridal salon to pick up a few accessories that had come in and to take a look at a couple of flower girl dresses.  I liked two that I saw, but it's so hard for me to visualize them in the colors I've considered.

Other Items of Note...

I've received sooo many wonderful referrals for hair and makeup artists - thank you so much if you contributed!  Ironically, you all think yours is THE BEST! hee hee  I'm still making up (no pun intended) my mind on these but hope to secure them soon.

We got to meet our photographer this past week because she was in town on vacation (she lives up the 15 fwy in Riverside...thanks to Cousin Carol P for that referral!), and it was great to put a face to the name/voice.  We brought Sophie so she could meet her, and it turns out that she used to breed Boxers!

I've officially started my pre-wedding workout program and I'm excited about it!  I'm a little crazy like that. Oh and we've sent out most of our Save the Date cards...I said most because I miscounted and had to order more, so hopefully that task will be complete by the end of this week.

I think that's it for now...we have Pre-Cana this Saturday, so it's beginning to get real!  My big project for the week:  Invitations!  Who would've thought this task could be so challenging...?

Until next time, I leave you with this:
"Our lives are made
In these small hours
These little wonders,
These twists & turns of fate
Time falls away,
But these small hours,
These small hours still remain"
(Rob Thomas)
